If you shared the item publicly, everyone can access it. For example, if you only shared the item to your organization, only members of the organization can access it and its item page. Using direct URLs allows you to promote public items through email, blogs, websites, and social media, and makes it easier for you to direct others in your organization to specific items.īefore you send someone a URL to an item or item page, be sure the item is shared in a way that the person can access it. You can also share the item page of any item in the website by copying the short URL provided on the item page Overview tab. URL that appears in the address bar of your web browser, for example. This means you can link to an item page, a map, or a group by copying and pasting the Share via default email – this option automatically opens a new email with the link included.Content items, search results, and groups can be accessedĭirectly by a URL.Add participants – this option opens the participant section in the meeting where you can search and invite participants to join.Copy meeting link – use this option copy and share the meeting link with colleagues through email or some other means.You can also click Share via email to automatically open a new email with the link included. These methods are briefly explained below, but for the purposes of this guide, click Copy meeting link, then share the meeting link using a normal Outlook meeting invitation or through some other means. You’ll be prompted to invite people to join you using several different methods.Configure your audio and video settings as normal, then join the meeting.In the Calendar section of the Teams application, click Meet Now, enter a meeting name, and click Start meeting.This method is commonly used when you are attempting to meet on-the-fly with a large number of people (where manually inviting is impractical), several people without access to UVM’s Teams tenant, or when you are unsure of who will be joining your meeting, as might be the case with impromptu office hours. Share the link with colleagues through email or other means.Right click on the link, then select Copy Link.

Note: The same steps should be carried out for an iOS device. Copy your page link in the browser’s address bar. Click on the page you want to copy the link. Scroll down and tap on Pages with an orange color flag. In the description field, there will now be a Click here to join the meeting link. At the top right corner, click on the three lines.After sending the meeting, click on it on your calendar in Teams.Click Send once all necessary information has been filled out.
